Mormons?!

For so many out there we are known as Mormons.  But what exactly is a Mormon.... Well that is just a nick name that comes from that little blue book, The Book of Mormon. For those of you who do not know what the Book of Mormon is about I'll give you a little synopsis.  It is another Testament of Christ, an ancient record that was translated by the gift and power of God. It is a history and teachings of the people who lived here on the American Continent.  The Climax of the book is when Christ visits the Americas after His life, death, and resurrection.  The Book of Mormon is comparable to the Bible, and they are a companionship to one another.  I find light in my life everyday from reading the word of God including the Book of Mormon.  For every member of our church they have gained a strong witness that this book is true.  The Book of Mormon is tangible evidence of the truthfulness of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  At the end of the Book is a promise given by Moroni, the last prophet in the Book of Mormon:

"... And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent,  having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost. And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things."

  What a beautiful promise.  I know with all my heart that the Holy Ghost only testifies of truth.  And truth is light.  I have felt immense light come into my life as I read this glorious Book.  It contains the Fullness of Christs Gospel and will bring you closer to Heavenly Father and to your Savior, Jesus Christ.
