I want to talk about Eternal marriages... Because I think this is a fundamental part of our religion. I mean who doesn't want to believe that their marriage will last beyond the grave?
President Gordon B. Hinckley and the First Presidency gave a proclamation on the family I think they say it best...
"In the premortal realm, spirit sons and daughters knew and worshiped God as their Eternal Father and accepted His plan by which His children could obtain a physical body and gain earthly experience to progress toward perfection and ultimately realize his or her divine destiny as an heir of eternal life. The divine plan of happiness enables family relationships to be perpetuated beyond the grave. Sacred ordinances and covenants available in holy temples make it possible for individuals to return to the presence of God and for
families to be united eternally."
This is a picture of my best friend, and she along with her husband have made sealed in the temple and know that they will be with one another forever. What an amazing gift that our Father in Heaven has given us.
